Panhellenic Council

The Formal Recruitment process is an opportunity for women to meet all the Panhellenic sororities on Michigan State's campus. Each day women visit with chapters to learn more about their sisterhood, philanthropy and values. Women return to chapters based on a mutual selection process.

Michigan State's Panhellenic sororities admit new members at the beginning of the fall and spring semester. It is important to note every chapter is only required to participate in the fall recruitment process. Chapters choose to participate in spring based on chapter and campus totals.

To participate in the fall recruitment process women must be enrolled for Fall 2021 classes, on university good standing, pay the mandatory registration fee and must attend each date listed below. This year, if you are taking under 12 credits due to COVID-19 you are still eligible to go through the recruitment process. Please note, some chapters have a 12 credit minimum as a requirement for membership.

2022 Spring Continuous Open Bidding (COB)

COB is Continuous Open Bidding, which is a way for participating sororities to give out bids to women interested in sorority membership after fall recruitment has concluded. Wer will have a couple chapters participating in this event as not all panhellenic chapters have spots availble.

COB is different from formal recruitment because it is a casual strand of events where a potential member can chat with sisters of participating sororities in an informal manner. The Meet the Chapters event is not as long as formal recruitment, however it is just as fun and engaging!

Meet the Chapters - Find Your Perfect Match: Sunday January 30th 6pm

*Masks are still required, we will provide a disposable mask if  forgotten.

Meet the Chapters is on Sunday, January 30th at the MSU Union  Ballroom. We will start the night at 6pm with a quick presentation  where we will go over items regarding the Fraternity and Sorority  community at Michigan State, as well as what the rest of the day  will look like.

Once the presentation is over, we will have an activity called “speed  friending” which will involve you talking to a member of each chapter that is there participating. You will not know what chapter each member is in until after the activity! This is to help have genuine conversations with the women and for your benefit!
