At Michigan State University our Panhellenic Chapters are very involved in many different types of philanthropic organizations. Below is a list of each chapter and specific organizations they partner with and events put on during the school year to help raise money or awareness. 

Alpha Chi Omega

  • Alpha Chi Omega Foundation which supports educational programs for victims of domestic violence such as the Center Against Rape and Domestic Violence

  • MSU Safe Place

  • Volley against violence in the spring and Walk-A-Mile in the fall

Alpha Omicron Pi

  • Juvenile arthritis, Arthritis and related diseases

  • Arthritis Foundation

Alpha Phi

  • Alpha Phi Foundation which benefits research and educational programs that support Cardiac healthA

Alpha Xi Delta

  • Autisms Speaks, which benefits Autism research, awareness, and helping out families with members diagnosed with Autism.

  • Walk Now for Autism Speaks

Chi Omega

  • Make-A-Wish foundation that grants wishes to children with life threatening diseases.

Delta Gamma

  • Service for Sight, which is an organization that aids those who are visually impaired.

Gamma Phi Beta

  • National philanthropy is Girls on the Run, which provides experiences and resources that build spiritual, mental, and social resiliency in girls.

Kappa Alpha Theta

  • National philanthropy is CASA, which is Court Appointed Special Advocates. This organization utilizes trained community volunteers to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court.

Kappa Delta

  • Confidence Coalition

  • Girl Scouts

  • Prevent Child Abuse America

  • Historically they support orthopedic research awards and the Children’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia.

Kappa Kappa Gamma

  • Reading is Fundamental

  • Kappa Kappa Gamma foundation which gives financial gifts and magazine subscription sales to help fund scholarships, confidential aid, education and training, and support of their two museums.

  • Very Hungry Kappapillar event every year

Pi Beta Phi

  • Read>Lead>Achieve, which believes in the power reading and helping children accomplish literacy. Also supports the Literacy Fund  which is critical to the success of Read>Lead>Achieve.

  • Broomball in the spring and Spaghetti Dinner in the fall

Sigma Delta Tau

  • Prevent Child Abuse America

  • Women for Women International

  • Jewish Women International

Sigma Kappa

  • Supports Alzheimer’s Disease and Gerontology research through the Sigma Kappa Foundation

  • The Main Sea Coast Mission

  • Inherit the Earth

Zeta Tau Alpha

  • Operates under the Think Pink umbrella, which includes the American Cancer Society, National Football League and Bring Pink.

  • ZTA works in conjunction with these national organizations to further research and awareness for breast cancer.
