About Beta Theta Pi
Beta Theta Pi Fraternity was founded in 1839, at Miami University. Today, there are over 180,000 initiated members. Beta focuses on providing a well-rounded experience that encompasses all aspects of a fraternity, including community service, leadership opportunity and growth, scholastic excellence, social activities and brotherhood. This is summed up best by our Men of Principle initiative. For many of our members these skills have transferred well beyond their years in college. Some recognizable alumni include Wal-Mart founder Sam Walton, baseball great Mike Schmidt, former senator Richard Luger, retail guru Bruce Nordstrom and sportscaster Neil Everett.
